Maury Epstein is a talented performer and educator who is highly qualified as a vocalist, cantor, pianist and percussionist, as well as an educator teaching American and Jewish/Israel music appreciation and history as well as music theory (chords/scales/key signatures/solfege and sight reading) and voice, piano technique and jazz improvisation. Maury’s two Masters Degrees as well as extensive conservatory and cantorial training have given him a rich and diverse background. Maury’s has an extensive repertoire of over 200 songs. He is fluid, and prepared to perform and teach as a solo performer and with his band a wide variety of music including the following styles - Yiddish Songs, Hasidic Songs, Israeli Folk Music, American Folk /Blues /Pop /Broadway /Jazz and Gospel music as well as the ability to lead prayers and songs for all Jewish Holidays including Shabbat, Pesach, Purim, Shavuot, Simchat Torah, Chanukah, Yom HaShoah, Yom HaZikaron, Yom HaAtzmaut, and Yom Yerushalayim and All Jewish Life Cycle Events including Weddings and Bar Mitzvahs. In addition to singing in English and Hebrew, Maury also sings beautiful songs in Aramaic, Ladino, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
